Mairead McGuinness, member of Fine Gael (EPP), is the most influential Irish MEP. She has been an MEP since 2004 and she currently serves as one of the Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament. Her responsibilities as Vice-President of the institution also regard the management of the conciliation procedure and the implementation of Article 17 TFEU.
