This study reports which are the most influential MEPs in neighbourhood and enlargement policy. For this purpose, we combined quantitative and qualitative observations by amending the algorithm developed for the overall assessment of MEPs influence.
Which members of the European Parliament – MEPs – are the most in favour of free trade and which, to the contrary, are the most opposed to it? Not necessarily those you might think, our latest VoteWatch Europe study shows.
This study has looked at all (known) political activities of the MEPs since July 2014 to identify who are the true movers and shakers. The algorithm we used for measurement combines quantitative criteria with qualitative observations put forward and weighted by over 200 Brussels insiders.
